En 2001, après la crise économique sans précédent qui frappe l’Argentine, la mouvement d’occupation d’usine naît. Les travailleurs remettent en marche la production des usines et les gèrent sous forme de coopérative. Dix ans plus tard, les entreprises récupérées se divisent : certaines militent pour une révolution politique, alors que d’autres optent pour l’insertion dans le marché capitaliste. "Vale la pena" est un documentaire qui met en parallèle ces deux orientations bien distinctes et qui, à travers une incursion dans le monde des ouvriers de Zanon, aborde la question de la lutte ouvrière. Il traite entre autre de la capacité des travailleurs à s’autogérer et de la remise en question de la propriété privée et du patronat. Les travailleurs de Zanon sont suivis par l’équipe durant les jours précédant le vote sur l’expropriation de leur ancien patron par la législature provincial. Rating 0/10

As day passes we follow her journey, to witness a last evocation of the life of this troubled place haunted by spirits, by painful personal and collective memory; through a poem which tells in different tongues of its prisoners’ suffering. At dusk a dancer - an ’Everyman’ - performs silently beneath open sky with ruins and distant hills as backdrop, to lay their ghosts in the evening earth. Only then may Sylvia leave. The dance continues. The Camp at Rivesaltes thereby speaks for all individuals denied a voice. It also becomes a universal symbol for an enduring theme: that of the displacement of peoples through conflict and interned in camps, then and today. On the eve of its demolition Sylvia Gutmann, a camp survivor, revisits the abandoned Camp Maréchal Joffre at Rivesaltes in southern France where she was detained as a child of three. Rating 0/10
